Car Clubs
Many things have communities that come together to discuss and share their interest in that item, and for cars this is no different. A car club is simply a community of people who have common interest in cars.
Traditionally, car clubs involved members meeting offline and going about their tasks, in fact some of the older traditional car clubs were actually run as a business with car companies sponsoring them. They could produce magazines and other publications, organise meetings, races, shows and mod days'. This is in contrast with internet based car clubs, whereby online communities of car enthusiasts network and discuss shared interests with the added benefit of them being free. This has made them a highly popular way for car enthusiasts to get together. It has also meant that some online car clubs have hundreds of thousands of members. That is not to say everything takes place online this is just the basis for it. Sometimes meet ups will still be organised.
People of similar interests have also had clubs or groups so that they can come together and the internet has only helped this. It means that clubs such as car clubs will continue to flourish for years to come.
